An Advanced Course – Upon Request
Preparing for Concordian Econometrics

An Innovative Teaching Methodology:
There will be no written examS.
There will be no oral examS.

Degrees: Depending upon your diligence and level of schooling, degrees will be granted from high school through doctorate, following 1 written exam, in which you summarize what you’ve learned over the course of study in 1 word, 1 sentence, 1 paragraph and 1 page, AND 1 33 minute oral exam, in which you elaborate on the your written exam.

Course of Study: Schedules/details to be determined once the student body is established:

* Required: Participation in weekly zoom meetings;
* As your possibilities allow, 4 day seminars 4 times a year (seasonally) in my home town, Gloucester, Massachusetts.
* As your possibilities allow, participation in The Center for American Studies at Concord’s (MA, USA’s) Annual Global-Village University Convocation, following the July annual meetings in Concord of the Thoreau, Emerson, Hawthorne, Alcott & Margaret Fuller Societies; dates to be confirmed.

Fee:  As your fortunes allow, to be individually reviewed. In the spirit of Emerson’s opening words, those unable to contribute, financially, to my labors on behalf of “the common wealth,” will be expected to enter into a work-study collaboration, to be discussed individually.

Contact: Interested students should first reach out to me by e-mail < cgorga@jhu.edu and cgorga@gmail.com > with your concise response to the foregoing degree offering; specifically: i) why you’re interested in the course of study; ii) what is your own particular area of interest in the subject; iii) how has that interest arisen through your life and labors to date; iv) what you want to do with your schooling/degree, i.e. how — may I assume? — you’re committed to serving humankind. AND, what do you make of the opening chapter, “Economy” in Thoreau perennial international best-seller, “Walden”. Once I review your e-mail, I will contact you to set up a time for a phone interview.
