New Years Greetings.
I write as the Founder of The Center for American Studies on behalf of our Founding Father and Mothers, as well as on behalf of my fellow Concordians, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Margaret Fuller (our Joan of Arc), and Henry David Thoreau, who prepared the ground for Anthroposophy, a Consecrated Common Sense on our shores.
Marc Desaules, General Secretary of the Swiss Anthroposophical Society, is reported to have stated (during last summer’s AGM in Portland, Oregon) that friend Rudolf Steiner made most clear that, after the defeat of Germany and the Axis forces in WWI, the baton/torch was passed to the West, United States, the leading victorious nation. A profound responsibility accompanied that passing — one that waits to be fulfilled.
As one whose grandfather, Sinclair Weeks, Secretary of Commerce under President Eisenhower, led the delegation to Europe, at the conclusion of WWI, that recommended the Marshall Plan, I’ve taken friend Rudolf Steiner’s words to heart.
Marc’s words are a central part of the inspiration behind the 2025 All-American (i.e. Global) Epiphany Con-vocation / Calling-Together glimpsed in the attached.*
